Re-enjoy Bay Area Figurative style

Abstract expressionism gave me permission to disobey academic training. Since I was 17 when I first spoke up to my father (what today I consider disrespectful), I have enjoyed provoking. I respect the art of realism and impressionism and all the rest, but what excites me is the art of the furious. As I climbed in rank (U.S. Navy), I grew more accustomed to and in awe of speaking truth to power. Unfortunately, I was unable to claim that for the first 23 of 24 years. Making aRt is a form of furious expression and is very satisfying at my age. aRt is more than a hobby. I need it. It needs me too.
